Jordan Meier, PMHNP-BC

Hi! I’m Jordan Meier, a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner driven by a passion to make a meaningful and positive impact, one patient at a time. My motivation stems from a strong desire to assist those in need of guidance and support, fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and growth. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can openly express their concerns, feel truly heard, and receive validation for their experiences. In this supportive setting, my goal is to empower patients to take control of their mental health, equipping them with the tools and confidence necessary to navigate their challenges and improve their overall well-being.

My expertise covers a broad range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance dependency. I have a dedicated focus on supporting the LGBTQ+ community and implementing harm reduction strategies to enhance overall well-being. Additionally, I am particularly passionate about working with adolescents, understanding that early intervention and guidance are crucial during this formative stage of life. My goal is to offer tailored care that addresses each individual's unique needs, fostering resilience and promoting long-term mental health.

With a keen interest in the complexities of the human mind, I am drawn to the dynamic and ever-evolving field of psychiatry and mental health care. Each patient I encounter offers a unique opportunity not only to provide care but also to learn and grow as a practitioner. My approach to mental health care is grounded in mutual trust, active listening, and honest collaboration. I prioritize building strong, therapeutic relationships with my patients, believing that these connections are the cornerstone of effective treatment.

I firmly believe that every individual possesses an inherent capacity for growth and transformation. My dedication lies in helping my patients unlock their full potential, guiding them toward healing, hope, and overall wellness. Through personalized care plans, empathetic support, and evidence-based practices, I strive to empower my patients to take charge of their mental health. It is my mission to assist them in navigating their challenges, fostering resilience, and achieving lasting positive change in their lives.

I was born and raised in Pasadena, California, spending most of my childhood climbing trees or riding horses. My path to psychiatry was a winding one, but helping people overcome challenges has always been my calling. With a first degree in speech and language pathology, I developed an interest in psychiatry and mental health after realizing that mental wellness is at the core of everything. I went back to school to earn a second bachelor’s and a master’s degree in nursing from Azusa Pacific University. I quickly fell in love with my work in Los Angeles, but after visiting Bend, Oregon, for the first time, I knew I needed to find a way to be there more often. Although my family and home are in Los Angeles, I am thrilled to be working in Bend and have the opportunity to travel back and forth. Today, I find balance by listening to records while gardening and, if I’m lucky, enjoying a Sunday morning motorcycle ride to the beach with my partner.
